Giovanni Brianza (Milan, 1973) holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic and an MBA from the School of Managemen at Bocconi University.
He began his career at Pirelli Pneumatici where he held various roles in logistics and production planning, in the Carlisle (UK) and Milan offices.
In 1999 he joined Edison to work on development in the water and energy sector.
In 2004 he moved to Électricité de France (EDF) in Paris, where he was responsible for strategies in the Italian market and worked on the redefinition of Edison's shareholding structure.
In 2006 he rejoins Edison as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, with support functions for the coordination of the main corporate processes and responsibility for special projects.
In 2009 he is appointed M&A Director and then, in 2013, Director of Strategic Planning and M&A of Edison.
In 2018 he joins Edison's Executive Committee with the position of Executive Vice President - Strategy, Corporate Development & Innovation.
He is Head of Energy & Environmental Services Market, member of the Board of Directors of Edison Energia and E2i Energie Speciali and member of the Strategic Committee of Electranova Capital II (venture capital fund based in Paris).
Giovanni Brianza is a member of the Advisory Board BAA (Bocconi Alumni Association) and a Fellow of the Council for the Relations between Italy and the United States.
