Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Pirelli Born in 1948 Milan, Marco Tronchetti Provera graduates in 1971 in Economics and Business Administration from the Bocconi University of Milan. After working with family businesses in the 1970s, in 1986 he joins Pirelli and in 1992 takes operational leadership of the Group, of which he is now Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Among other roles, he is Chairman of Marco Tronchetti Provera & C. S.p.A. and a Board Member of RCS MediaGroup S.p.A. and the Bocconi University of Milan. He is also Honorary Co-Chairman of the Italian branch of the Council for the United States and Italy, of which he was Italian Co-Chairman for 15 years, and a Member of the Italian Group of the Trilateral Commission. He is Member of the Advisory Board of Assolombarda and of the General Council of Confindustria. Tronchetti Provera was Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mediobanca (from October 2008 to October 2017), Chairman of Telecom Italia S.p.A. (from September 2001 to September 2006), Board Member of “Teatro alla Scala” (from October 2001 to September 2005) and Chairman of “Il Sole 24 Ore” (from December 1996 to September 2001).
