Household items shaped like urban elements (with some graffitis upon them) are showcased in one of the most prestigious design galleries in Paris and London. We’re talking about Efflorescence, a furniture collection designed by Virgil Abloh’s versatile genius for Galerie Kreo: currently on show in the Parisian headquarters, the exhibition is ready to open in London, as well. Round and coffee tables, consoles, seats, vases, and mirrors, for a total amount of 20 pieces. Abloh’s design is marked by rough concrete shapes, shattered by holes and interstices in which plants and flowers can grow. Thereby, an outdoor aesthetic is brought into the inner and private ambience, melting together some sort of Brutalism with its opposite, the organic element.
Virgil Abloh’s furniture made of raw concrete and graffiti
The urban panorama is twisted and enters houses thanks to the new furniture collection by Vuitton’s men’s wear creative director Virgil Abloh, on show at Galerie kreo.
