The European Design Show
The cleverest innovations to come out of Europe over the last two years are the subject of an interesting summer exhibition at the Design Museum. From fashion to furniture, Internet to packaging, an infinite number of sources have provided inspiration. The show of European design is both a homage and eulogy to the infinite forms that design can assume. Always with a single end in mind: to make our lives more pleasant and efficient. The exhibition centres on the stories of five objects, described step by step from the initial idea to the design and then the making. Visitors are then given the task of trying to distinguish between good and bad design by voting for their favourite object as they leave. E.S.
