Frieze, the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art, presents Frieze Sculpture 2020: from 5 to 18 October the sculptures of twelve acclaimed international artists are on display in Regent's Park gardens, London. The initiative is part of the vast programme of Frieze Week 2020, this year in a new hybrid form with online and offline activities and takes place simultaneously with Frieze London and Frieze Master.

The format of the exhibition has been adapted to comply with the new guidelines for social distancing, but Frieze Sculpture continues to support and encourage ambitious sculptural projects, in particular new commissions. Fully outdoors, the event offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy an engaging artistic experience in total safety. The 2020 line-up, by British curator Clare Lilley (Director of Programme, Yorkshire Sculpture Park), features artists David Altmejd, Fabio Lattanzi Antinori, Gianpietro Carlesso, Eric Fischl, Patrick Goddard, Lubaina Himid, Kalliopi Lemos, Richard Long, Sarah Lucas, Gavin Turk, Rebecca Warren and Arne Quinze.

The artworks touch on a range of timely themes such as civil rights, ecology, the role of artists in the contemporary context. In particular, the sculptures by Lubaina Himid and Kalliopi Lemos explore art as a catalyst for change and reflect on the immeasurable value of equality, while the works by Patrick Goddard, Richard Long and Arne Quinze investigate the relationship between the human being and the natural world. Frieze Sculpture offers a free audio tour by Clare Lilley, available at https://www.frieze.com/article/your-guide-frieze-sculpture-2020-regents-park, and has a virtual space on Frieze Viewing Room, an online platform open to viewers from all over the world.
