Nike and recovery technology company Hyperice have joined forces to create a pair of shoes and a vest aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of warm-up and recovery,
Nike x Hyperice Boot is a high-top shoe with on-demand heat and a dynamic air-compression massage feature for athletes’ feet and ankles. The shoes sport dual-air Normatec bladders and warming elements that distribute heat evenly, driving it deep into muscles and tissues to enhance natural movement and recovery. The wearer can synchronize heat and compression with a button press, choosing from three intensity levels, all powered by a battery pack in each insole.
The Nike x Hyperice Vest aims to let athletes control their body temperature during warm-ups and cool-downs much more precisely. Thanks to internal thermoelectric coolers, the vest delivers instant heating and cooling without the need for ice or liquid. The vest features thermal modules with sensors that autonomously maintain the desired body temperature and an air bladder for optimal comfort.
Both products could be available in retail stores before the end of 2024. In the meantime, about 100 Nike athletes will test both the vest and the shoes at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, France, starting in July.
