Italy. A home for Alzheimer’s patients

Italian studio Davanzo Architetti completes an healthcare center, with different solutions according to the various states and needs of its guests.

Davanzo Architetti, Centro Diurno Terapeutico Alzheimer

Designed by Davanzo Architetti in Castelfranco Veneto, the Alzheimer Therapy Day Center is a healthcare facility that relates to the existing urban context, featuring an evident formal and typological autonomy. Located near the historic center, the project is an opportunity to enhance an untapped part of the city. Moving the car park on the western border of the area, the Center defines different open spaces.

The elongated volume runs along the northern boundary of the lot. It is attenuated by a 1,2 meters excavation of the ground. The form of the roof pitches refers to the distribution of interior spaces. In the organization of the rooms dedicated to the guests, the domestic dimension and the arrangement on one level prevailed, using only one color that facilitates its setting and orientation.
