Lay Out is a photographic series by Teresa Giannico, made in 2015. It’s a study of contemporary shared apartments in the city of Milan, found on online rental ads.
The pictures are the diorama representations of those photographs; in my practice I use to build paper models of the found images, extrapolating and printing their textures and objects, to finally present them as photography. The aim of my research is to instill doubt on the documentary value of photography through a process of reconstruction of reality.
