Stone between design and urban planning

On the occasion of Marmomac, the ADI Delegation Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige presented an exhibition entitled “ARCHITECTURAL MODULES”. Here are the projects.

The most important international fair dedicated to natural stone could only have taken place in the context of Verona, renowned throughout the world for the development of this production sector. Held at the Veronafiere in the canonical September date, this year Marmomac once again offered novelties and entertainment to those present, who were able to explore the world of natural stone by entering the various pavilions and learn about new trends, cutting-edge applications and in-depth information through workshops and exhibitions.

Among these, the pavilion set up by the ADI Delegazione Veneto e Trentino Alto Adige presented “ARCHITECTURAL MODULES”, a privileged opportunity for creative explorations and new solutions. The exhibition focuses on the role of natural stone in urban planning and in the design of exteriors and interiors: the designers who participated with their ideas worked on the creation of a replicable and efficient module, easy to assemble and quick to install. In this way, a single module has been used to create horizontal and vertical cladding for stairs, balustrades and walls, as well as furnishing accessories such as bookcases and totems. The design is also enriched by the treatment of the surfaces: from the most raw to the most finished, the textures used are intended to pay homage to such precious materials. In conclusion, the 16 designers who took part in this exhibition have once again demonstrated that natural stone can be an avant-garde solution for contemporary construction.
