Light that moves is the guiding thread for the company's projects in 2024, products that combine a technological matrix with a humanistic approach. One of the new products that best represents this approach is Newfo, a small projector characterised by rounded corners, whose design exudes a sense of modernity and timelessness.

Newfo, as its name suggests, is a formal homage to Ufo, the first architectural projector by iGuzzini that integrated the low-voltage halogen lamp in 1977, bringing the precision of theatre lighting into architectural practice. Newfo is also a bearer of innovation, both formal and technological. Its restyling made it possible to explore new worlds, the expression of contemporary values, introducing the geometric canons of squircle design into the field of lighting.

Squircle is the Anglo-Saxon name for a shape somewhere between a circle and a square. Aesthetically, it manages to compose a pleasingly contradictory visual universe: soft and stable, emotional and rational. In Italian, it translates as ‘super-circle’. The new Newfo spot is the first product specifically designed to be combined with the Filorail rail, an electrified rail that can disappear, camouflage itself, and perform its functions inconspicuously, thanks to its mere 3.6 mm opening. Newfo is installed on Filorail, either directly or suspended with a double cable.

The ‘disappearance’ of the track allows the shape of the projector to be highlighted: Newfo is an ironic, winking presence, designed to offer visual comfort and scenic lighting that opens up design possibilities radically different from the ordinary, beyond the typological custom of professional lighting. The product features patented Optibeam optics, lenses and refractors, also interchangeable with an easy "Push&Go" system. Newfo is the result of iGuzzini's characteristic thought: optical and technological performance are translated into a poetic, comprehensible and reassuring form.
