38 years of history, 4 generations of cars, 36 special series and more than 4 million units sold: these numbers are a small indication of the history of the Lancia Ypsilon, a car that for more than 10 years has consistently ranked among the best-selling cars in Italy. The city car over the years has been able to renew itself and accompany the changing lifestyles of our times step by step. In 2023, it returns with an updated look in terms of connectivity, efficiency and style.
New Ypsilon: connectivity, efficiency and Italian style
Lancia presents the new Ypsilon range, with three outfits available: Gold, Platinum and EcoChic LPG.
The novelties in the new Ypsilon Hybrid range go in two directions: a simplification of the range of available hybrid engines, which is more streamlined and intuitive, and an enrichment of the range on offer in terms of standard content. From the five options offered in recent months, there are now just two versions: Gold and Platinum. Both outfits in the Hybrid range integrate as standard various styling details, accessories and comfort elements that were previously optional. For the Gold version we are talking about electric mirrors, new wheels and a general upgrade of the interior, which accentuates the car's elegance. Features of the Platino version include alloy wheels, parking camera and sensors, body-coloured rear bumper... The car can be further enhanced with two packs – Comfort and Tech – and is also available in an Ecochic LPG version.
Connectivity and efficiency
The renovation of some technological equipment aims to simplify our driving experience and on-board comfort. Each element is designed to integrate invisibly with everyday rituals, gestures and trends. The connectivity of the new Ypsilon has evolved with a 7" touchscreen radio, now complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless. The car features a new wireless charger, positioned under the gear lever, which allows you to charge your smartphone in total safety and comfort. The rear camera facilitates parking manoeuvres, making it elementary and stress-free. The cars are equipped with the Mild Hybrid engine, which combines the 1.0, 3-cylinder, 70 hp (51.5 kW) petrol engine of the Firefly family with a 12-volt BSG electric motor and lithium-ion battery. The new Ypsilon range is in line with Lancia's renewal project - Renaissance. Efficient, compact and accessible, it puts design at the centre to meet the needs of its users, as well as benefiting from all the advantages of a hybrid vehicle.
