MADE expo, the reference event for the building sector, will be staged at Fiera Milano from 15 to 18 November 2023 to showcase materials, technologies and solutions for sustainable and technologically integrated buildings. For the first time, the exhibition will be divided into two halls – Cladding and Construction – focusing on innovation and sustainability for the future of building. But in addition to the exhibition component – which this year will involve 500 companies – this edition of MADE expo will be enriched by various appointments: meetings, awards, workshops and seminars through which the world of design will be looked at with a new outlook, searching for unexplored solutions that can reduce the impact on the environment.
Top architecture meetings at MADE expo
Lectio magistralis by Carlo Ratti and Winy Maas and the UNBUILT, Unrealised Projects programme curated by Platform magazine will be some of the initiatives that will animate the 2023 edition of MADE expo.
During the days of MADE expo there will be lectio magistralis by two leading architects, absolute protagonists of the contemporary debate: Carlo Ratti and Winy Maas. In addition to the lectures (Winy Maas will speak on Wednesday 15 November at 5.00 p.m., followed by Carlo Ratti on Thursday 16 November also at 5.00 p.m. in the UNBUILT area - Hall 1), a virtual room, Archi.box, will be dedicated to each of the two architects. Inside these environments the public will be able to enjoy an immersive and multisensory video mapping experience, with the possibility of witnessing the direct narration of a focal theme of contemporary architecture.
Unrealised projects, unsuccessful competitions, free experimentation, designs destined to remain on paper... UNBUILT, Unrealised Projects, is a new programme conceived by Platform in collaboration with ME that, through a selection of 40 projects, both Italian and foreign, will tell the story of unbuilt architecture. A proper archive of projects and thoughts that nourishes the future and often remains unknown to the general public. They can be discovered every afternoon of the event starting at 3 p.m. in the UNBUILT area - Hall 1.
