Employing traditional-artisan techniques, Israeli designer created a cabinet whic plays with the tension between gentle and rough, wild and tamed, combining wood and steel.
Israeli designer Alon Dodo creates contemporary pieces in hard wood employing traditional-artisan techniques.
His work is characterized by simple lines, which allow the material to shine and empower it even further.
Dodo manipulates wood in order to achieve new textures, along with combining various materials such as leather, copper, brass, iron, korian and marble. For this piece he used an ancient technique called inlay, in which wood is stamped into wood or even other materials with butterfly connectors.
