A versatile lamp

At the Salone Satellite, young Puerto Rican designer Eddie Figueroa Feliciano presents a lamp which references the exterior lighting found in the Caribbean region.

During the 2012 Salone del Mobile, at the Salone Satellite, young Puerto Rican designer Eddie Figueroa Feliciano will present an adaptable, versatile illumination solution, which combines a series of bulbs and a nylon strip.

The lamp's typology is derived from the exterior lighting solutions found in the Caribbean region.

The lamp's "body material" is made of nylon, with flexible knots that can be adjusted depending on the necessities of the space. The lamp allows for the incorporation of more than one bulb.

"The lamp is made by installing on a industrial nylon belt a lightning source using smalls adjustable metal clamps for the electrical components," says Eddie Figueroa Feliciano.

"The lamp can be packed in a bidimensional package," he continues, "and could be developed as pendant or appliqué."
