Il MoMA presenta "Christopher Williams: la linea di produzione della felicità", la prima retrospettiva dedicata ad uno dei più influenti artisti cinefili che lavorano nel campo della fotografia.

La mostra “Christopher Williams: la linea di produzione della felicità”, riunisce opere straordinarie che coinvolgono le convenzioni del fotogiornalismo, archivi di immagini, e le immagini commerciali all'interno dei loro contesti socio politici.
“La linea di produzione della felicità” inizia con un ampia installazione di “supergraphics” che copre le pareti fuori dallo spazio espositivo. Queste supergraphics – lettere nere su su una base di rosso AGFA ultrasaturo – sono composte da elementi presi dal catalogo della mostra, come la lista di controllo, la grafica, e gli scritti selezionati, in modo che la mostra sembra svolgersi dal libro.

Un aspetto saliente dell'installazione al MoMA è la visualizzazione dei muri abbattuti dalle mostre precedenti, mettendo in primo piano l'impegno di lunga data di Williams con l'architettura e la storia dell'allestimento.
