The solar panels on the roof are shaped as tiles. All electrical circuits in the house are monitored, so guests have the opportunity to get a feeling of its own energy use.
A solid prefabricated construction was chosen for the outer walls and the roof, and the wooden parts were statically oversized to give a deep impression of a wooden house. Even the entrance and the garage door are built in the same dimension to give the same sensation by entering the house. The clay plaster encloses the wall heating system, saves the energy and the heating radiates off the wall comfortably. An emulsion of natural pigments coats the walls, giving them a velvety appearance that changes with the light.
The entrance area with the garage leads into the dining kitchen, which can be opened with large folding doors on two sides. Two floating terraces extend the interior space outdoors. The living area with fireplace and views on the Spitzstein mountain is located at the mezzanine livel. The bedroom with views of the creek Auerbach is on the next floor and, further up, is the gallery under the roof with a freestanding bathtub and a sky view.
